Job Summary
Dental Nurse Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Dental Nurse to join our dynamic Community Dental team at Whittington Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality care to our patients and will work closely with the clinicians to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare surgeries for all dental procedures and ensure a hygienic working environment.
- Assist clinicians with the provision of all dental treatment, including visits to patients' homes, residential care centers, and hospitals.
- Prepare, care, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in line with HTM 01 05.
- Communicate appropriately and sensitively with patients, families, and carers to provide reassurance and support.
- Develop and maintain dental radiographs and assist with quality assurance under the direction of the clinician.
Requirements
- Registered with the General Dental Council as a Dental Care Professional.
- NEBDN and/or an appropriate professional qualification or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Competent in basic MS Office and IT applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
