Retail Food Safety Auditor

LRQA is seeking experienced Environmental Health Practitioners to join our network of self-employed Retail Food Safety Auditors.

As a Retail Food Safety Auditor, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with food safety regulations within the retail sector. You will conduct comprehensive assessments of retail establishments, identifying potential risks and providing recommendations for improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality food safety assessments in accordance with legal and client requirements.
  • Plan and manage your workload effectively to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Complete detailed audit reports promptly and accurately, ensuring all findings are clearly documented.
  • Maintain open communication with your Line Manager/Lead Auditor regarding client requests and any issues encountered during audits.
  • Participate in shadow and witness audits as required by the client or senior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and relevant legislation through continuous professional development (CDP).
Requirements:
  • Qualified Environmental Health Practitioner with EHORB registration preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems and software relevant to the role.

Full training will be provided for these audits.
