About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Pathologist to join our team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Consultant Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in providing expert diagnostic and advisory services in Breast and Urologic pathology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic reports and expert opinions in Breast and Urologic pathology.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, including specialty doctors and pathologists' assistants.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of educational programs for staff and students.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Consultant Pathologist with:

  • Full registration on the specialist register with the UK General Medical Council.
  • MBBS or MBBCh and FRCPath or equivalents.
  • Experience of working at consultant level in Breast and Urologic pathology.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Background in general histopathology.
  • Teaching, audit, and research experience.
  • Management and leadership experience.
