About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Principle Engineer - Software Development to join our Submarine Software Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing software solutions that meet the requirements of our customers.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the software lifecycle and its application to other types of software. You will also have a good understanding of systems engineering lifecycle and how it relates to software.

In this role, you will work closely with System Designers, Software Developers, and other engineering disciplines in the design process to ensure that software meets requirements. You will also document the level of risk, provide evidence, and reporting for Senior Management.

Additionally, you will engage with various stakeholders at all levels to resolve non-conformances and programme risks. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a rapidly growing field.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop software solutions that meet the requirements of our customers.
  2. Review software plans, documentation, and software aspects of system-level plans and documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  3. Work with System Designers, Software Developers, and other engineering disciplines in the design process to ensure that software meets requirements.
  4. Document the level of risk, provide evidence, and reporting for Senior Management.
  5. Engage with various stakeholders at all levels to resolve non-conformances and programme risks.
