About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Digital Assets Specialist to join our team at the Financial Conduct Authority. As a key member of our Digital Assets Sector team, you will play a critical role in driving forward our strategy in respect of crypto and supporting the development of the new regulatory regime for crypto.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver, coordinate, and support key workstreams relating to Digital Assets/crypto, including proactive analysis of the crypto market and development of the FCA's crypto strategies.
  • Collaborate on risk analysis and horizon scanning of the sector to support internal stakeholders in developing the regulatory regime and ensuring appropriate supervision of firms in the sector.
  • Represent the FCA externally with government departments, industry members, other regulators, and trade associations.
  • Responsible for drafting key papers, including briefings and presentations for senior stakeholders, internal communications, and newsletters relating to Digital Assets.
  • Provide training, expert advice, and briefings about crypto issues to support colleagues across the FCA.

Requirements
  • Prior experience of successfully leading on complex projects.
  • Prior experience of strong report writing and highlighting great written communication skills.
  • Previous experience working in financial services, legal, accounting, or in another sector for a regulator or public body.
