Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team at Wabtec Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects within Manufacturing, taking ownership of delivery, project planning, execution, and cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects within Manufacturing, ensuring timely delivery, effective project planning, and successful execution.
  • Process Development: Define and implement manufacturing processes for turbocharger components and assemblies, ensuring high-quality and efficiency.
  • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain supporting documentation, including Manufacturing Routings, Layouts, and Instructions, to ensure seamless production and training.
  • NC Programming: Program multi-axis Turning, Milling, Grinding, and EDM machines, as well as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-DMIS.
  • Investigation and Improvement: Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address non-conformance, driving continuous improvement.
  • Procurement and Supply Chain: Procure jigs, fixtures, tooling, gauging, and lifting equipment, ensuring timely delivery and effective supply chain management.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Interface with supporting departments, including Design, Quality, Procurement, and external suppliers, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Cost Reduction and Efficiency: Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives, driving efficiency and productivity within the production team.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: HNC level or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with relevant training as a Manufacturing Technician/Engineer.
  • Experience and Skills: Proven experience in a modern manufacturing facility, with a strong understanding of modern machining techniques, problem-solving techniques, and LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Computer and Software Literacy: Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software, and other relevant tools.
