Role Overview

M&G plc is seeking a highly skilled Social Media Manager to lead the development of our social media strategy and drive engagement across our social channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media functionality and best practices, as well as experience in implementing and delivering financial services content campaigns via social media management platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to amplify M&G's commitment to financial well-being and support our engagement and communications across social channels.
  2. Collaborate with marketing teams and operational and sales teams to develop and manage a communications framework that helps us get closer to our customers.
  3. Create and embed communication standards, including copy development, creative and visual stimuli, and measures and KPIs.
  4. Develop and implement an influencer strategy to support our social media goals.
  5. Stay up-to-date with emerging social media channels and develop strategies to leverage them for M&G.
  6. Ensure all analytics of our social media mix and content are integrated into key scorecards and communicated.
  7. Work closely with key business stakeholders to expand on social content opportunities and communicate the roadmap of enhancements clearly.
  8. Develop and implement clear control policies in conjunction with Brand, Risk, and Compliance to ensure we have eyes and ears on our social platforms.
Requirements
  1. At least six years of experience developing and owning strategic outcomes in a social media/digital marketing environment within financial services.
  2. A strong understanding of social media functionality, formats, and best practices across all social channels.
  3. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  4. Experience of implementing, developing, and delivering financial services content campaigns (both financial and non-financial promotions) via social media management platforms for Financial Advisers and Retail Customers.
  5. Significant and proven technical capability and experience in using social media advertising platforms for paid social campaigns.
  6. Highly proficient with social media monitoring tools, for listening, publishing, and reporting.
