Job Description

Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at The Growth Company. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering rehabilitation and employment training support to individuals and groups.

You will work closely with participants to identify their learning needs and develop personalized action plans. Your expertise will be crucial in planning training interventions and facilitating group learning sessions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a target-driven environment. A warm and approachable style is essential for building trust with participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify individual learning needs and create tailored action plans.
  • Plan and deliver training interventions for each participant.
  • Establish rapport and supportive relationships with participants.
  • Enable participants to access and use information effectively.
  • Record interventions and activities, monitoring progress and outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing support to participants, guiding them in implementing future courses of action.
  • Deliver further interventions as required, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Develop resources to support learning and job-matching services.
  • Facilitate group learning sessions to improve communication and social interaction.

Requirements:

  • Possess Information Advice and Guidance qualifications or equivalent experience working intensively with individuals.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of rehabilitation principles and desistance theory.
  • Familiarity with National Probation Services or HM Prison environments and training opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on location)
