About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Chadwick Lodge and Eaglestone View, a medium and low secure services providing specialist treatment programmes for service users who have been detained under the Mental Health Act and have a history of offending behaviour.

The successful candidate will be a qualified HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist with a strong background in forensic psychology and experience of working with clients with complex needs. They will be responsible for providing specialist clinical advice, conducting risk assessments, and developing and implementing treatment plans.

The role will involve working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive service to service users, including those with cognitive deficits. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to engage in research and project work, and will be supported in their professional development through regular supervision and training.

We offer a competitive salary of £51,000-58,000 DoE, plus a range of benefits including annual leave, free meals and parking, and wellbeing support and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing specialist clinical advice and conducting risk assessments for service users
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Working with service users with cognitive deficits and developing strategies to support their needs
  • Engaging in research and project work to improve service delivery and outcomes
  • Providing supervision and training to junior staff members
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
  • Experience of working in a forensic setting and with clients with complex needs
  • Strong background in evidence-based practice and research
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
