Job Title: Site Manager - Construction

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our construction team at Barratt Developments PLC. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the construction process, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Monitor and control costs, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Supervise and train construction staff, including site engineers, laborers, and tradespeople.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to ensure that the on-site construction team is fully resourced and well-directed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve construction efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Construction Project Manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) membership or equivalent qualification.
