Job Description:

  • Lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional and challenging Maths curriculum.
  • Provide guidance and support to Maths teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive teaching environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in Maths, implementing effective interventions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching approaches.
  • Mentor and support Maths teachers in their professional development.
  • Contribute to the school's Maths program and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student assessment, attendance, and behavior.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialization in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (preferred).
  • Substantial experience in teaching Mathematics, preferably in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in Mathematics education.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
