Job Title

A Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialist is required to lead the development of a new Managed Service at Sopra Steria.


This project aims to replace a complex legacy Enterprise infrastructure by leveraging high levels of automation and repeatable component design patterns, utilizing Windows and VMware technologies alongside Ansible, Terraform, and scripting.


The successful candidate will possess expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, version control systems, and agile methodologies, ensuring deployment of customer business solutions within short time frames.


Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in cloud infrastructure automation to drive this project forward. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Expertise in Ansible, Terraform, and scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
  • Knowledge of Windows and VMware technologies, including vSphere and NSX.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools like AWS CloudFormation or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and agile methodologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the automated infrastructure, ensuring it meets the requirements of the customer's business solutions.
