Job Title: Science Teacher (SEND)

Location: The Grange School, Thatcham

Salary: £26,250 - £37,800 per annum, depending on experience

Contract: Permanent - Term Time Only

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Science Teacher to join our vibrant teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching Science and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with neurodiverse children and young adults who may have additional needs relating to communication and interaction, cognition and learning, sensory and/or physical needs.

The Science Teacher will be responsible for leading activities, both in and outdoors, including planning, teaching and assessing learning, particularly with 'your' class. This may involve teaching a range of curriculum areas and providing pastoral support.

The successful candidate will need to have:

  • An ability to teach Science to Level 2 (GCSE/Functional Skills)
  • Patience, compassion and resilience in how you interact with our pupils and team members
  • A driving licence and a willingness to take pupils on trips within the school vehicles
