Long-term Teachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team at a specialist school in Exeter.

The school provides tailored support and education for children with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons, providing one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, including personal care and medical needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons, using individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Understanding of various special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
