Job Title: Coatings Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Coatings Technician to join our team at Gabbott Recruitment Online Limited. As a Coatings Technician, you will be responsible for maximizing throughput through the sprayshop while maintaining the highest levels of quality, health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the sprayshop team to continuously improve all operations, competence, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure the highest levels of quality throughout, rejecting poor quality when necessary.
  • Help to plan and organize sprayshop workload in advance for each week.
  • Corrective/Preventive action - work with all departments to prevent wasted/down time.
  • Reporting any issues to sprayshop supervisor.
  • Ensure maintenance is carried out correctly and on time, ensuring they are clean and safe.
  • Ensure Health and Safety practices are observed.
  • Spray shop and paint stores to be maintained in line with permits, ensuring correct stock levels, using old stock before new and out of date stock is disposed of correctly.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with timber productions would be beneficial but not essential, training would be provided.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8 am - 4.30 pm, Friday 8 am - 3.30 pm

Salary: Negotiable Overtime available
