Corporate Tax Senior or Assistant Manager

Clark Wood is pleased to be working with a leading Hertfordshire firm seeking a Corporate Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to join their Hitchin office.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work predominantly from home, with the successful candidate expected to attend the office once a week.

As a key member of the team, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, handling all aspects of corporation tax compliance. You will also assist in other compliance tasks, oversee and develop junior staff, and be introduced to advisory and planning work.

You will build and maintain strong client relationships, supervise Tax Assistants, and review their work to provide guidance when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage client portfolios
  2. Prepare business tax computations and tax returns
  3. Draft tax clearances and reports
  4. Conduct technical research
  5. Prepare election control sheets and client review sheets
  6. Review Alphatax/Taxpoint lists to meet deadlines
  7. Assist clients with comprehensive planning, consultancy, and advisory work
Requirements:
  1. ACA / ACCA Qualified
  2. CTA Qualified or Part Qualified
  3. Experience in a Tax-focused role (either solely Corporate or mixed Corporate and Personal)
