This is a six-month fixed-term contract.

We are looking for an ambitious individual who is a team player, keen to progress and develop practical finance/accounts knowledge, skills, and experience. Do you have experience of working with financial data? Have you had working knowledge of revenue and receivables, from both a P&L and balance sheet perspective? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What's it all about?

This role is a six-month FTC where you will be working within our Revenue Accounts Team here at Travelodge Hotels Limited. This role will be responsible for several key accounting areas within the transactional environment such as ensuring ledger integrity, effectiveness of financial controls and correct application of technical accounting treatment. In this position, you will have overall ownership of the balance sheet liability and accounting controls as well as overseeing the company's Card Payment gateway interactions to include bank statement postings and subsequent reconciliation. You will also look after month end processes to directly drive accurate and meaningful revenue reporting.

Who will this appeal to?

You are a self-motivated team player who has a solid grasp of double entry bookkeeping and basic accounting principles backed up with a part qualified status in a relevant qualification (ACCA, CIMA). You will have solid knowledge of Excel and be a proactive individual who looks to resolve issues before they arise.
