Position Overview:
This role offers an opportunity to engage with students in thought-provoking discussions, encouraging them to critically examine religious beliefs, values, and practices. As an RE Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing students' understanding of different faith traditions, moral dilemmas, and philosophical questions, equipping them with skills to navigate an increasingly diverse world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging lessons that stimulate students' curiosity and promote deep learning in Religious Education.
  • Create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing their views and exploring diverse perspectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to students with varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster students' analytical thinking skills through exploration of religious texts, ethical theories, and contemporary issues.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design cross-curricular projects and extracurricular activities promoting tolerance, understanding, and social cohesion.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Specialism or strong background in Religious Education, with a degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Philosophy, or a related field.
- Up-to-date knowledge of religious beliefs, practices, and ethical debates across different cultures and traditions.
- Experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and preferably Key Stage 5 levels.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom and beyond.
