**Kitchen Leadership Position:**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in Barnsley, United Kingdom.

**Job Description:**

As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation to ensure consistency and excellence in our dishes.
  • Supervise the kitchen team and lead by example to maintain a smooth operation during service hours.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and delivered on time to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene according to health and safety regulations to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and confidence in the workplace.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef to demonstrate leadership and problem-solving skills.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices to maintain a clean and healthy work environment.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients to deliver exceptional dishes and menus.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment, promoting a positive and collaborative culture.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to accommodate business needs and customer demands.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred) to demonstrate commitment to industry standards and best practices.

**Salary:** £38,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience.
