Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

Fowler Welch is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse staff to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise warehouse staff to maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy.
  • Ensure daily KPIs are met to meet customer and company service levels.
  • Train and retrain warehouse staff in picking and other warehouse disciplines as needed.
  • Enforce company standards of hygiene and housekeeping, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety Rules and report any issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse procedures and systems to minimize errors and maximize staff productivity.
  • Manage day-to-day team issues, including holidays, timekeeping, and absence monitoring.
  • Manage performance issues with the team in conjunction with Warehouse Managers and HR.

Requirements:

  • Operational experience in a FMCG warehouse environment.
  • FLT Licence.
  • Good standard of education, including Maths at GCSE level or equivalent relevant qualifications.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office - Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure, both as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Effective communicator with excellent customer service skills.
  • Thoroughness/attention to detail.
