Underwriter – Tech E&O – French Speaker

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Underwriter to join our team at CFC, a leading specialist insurance provider. As a Tech E&O Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting and developing profitable business in the Canadian market, working closely with our Team Leader and underwriting colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to new business enquiries and renewal submissions from brokers in a timely and professional manner, delivering a first-class service to produce quotations within agreed SLAs and authority parameters.
- Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations on CFC products, key trends, and emerging exposures.
- Contribute effectively to team performance standards.
- Market team capabilities through existing contacts and new relationships, including attending ad-hoc business trips internationally as required.
- Build wider product understanding in Quebec and support other teams with their distribution in the province.
- Keep up to date with changing legislation in Quebec and report back to the team.
We are looking for a driven, self-starter with a strong work ethic who can contribute to a fast-paced working environment and work within a high-performance team. You will need to be sales and service-focused, confident and personable on the phone and in front of our customers, and able to demonstrate a hunger and aptitude to support growth within the team.
You will be analytical with strong attention to detail but also able to reach conclusions quickly and make effective decisions. You will be expected to work at a high pace and intensity that underpins the successful framework of the CFC business and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support our ambitious growth plans.
