Vehicle Refurbishment Technician

We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Refurbishment Technician to work with our client based in Catford, SE London.

1. Carry out repairs to damaged buses, including bodywork, framework, ramps, windows, chassis, seating, doors, and flooring.
2. Strip vehicles of damaged parts; manufacture new panels as needed and straighten body and chassis.
3. Replace broken glass, including windows, indirect, and direct glazing.
4. Replace damaged flooring by cutting and laying new floor coverings.
5. Fabricate and install vinyl transfers on company vehicles.
6. Manufacture and fit new assault screens.

• Knowledge of bus construction and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with bonding, adhesives, and sealants used in bus repair, their application, and safe storage and disposal.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques.
• Experience with pulling equipment, jigs, bending and folding machines, guillotines, grinding and sanding machines, etc.
• Familiarity with glazing techniques used in the automotive industry.
• Basic understanding of bus electrical and mechanical systems.

• Salary: £22.37 per hour.
