Job Description

At Serco, we are seeking an experienced Housing Advisor to join our team in Blackpool and surrounding areas. As a Housing Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) for the North West of England.

You will have a valid UK driving licence and be provided with a company car. This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00. You will be required to participate in an on-call rota, averaging every 10 weeks.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct monthly inspections of properties within your allocated portfolio, adhering to AASC Contract standards and property guidelines.
  2. Manage the onboarding and withdrawal of properties within your portfolio, following established procedures.
  3. Perform minor property repairs within your scope, using the provided toolkit and spares.
  4. Respond to customer complaints and provide support to service users.

This role requires dealing with challenging situations, including anti-social behaviors, medical needs, and child safeguarding concerns. You will also contribute to innovation in public services and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme, employee assistance programme, and more.
