Job Title: Part-Time Night Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our team as a Part-Time Night Nurse at our small, family-run care home. As a Night Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, round-the-clock care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centred care during night shifts, ensuring residents are comfortable, safe, and cared for with dignity and respect.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, following care plans and ensuring compliance with NMC guidelines and home policies.
  • Monitor and assess residents' health conditions, promptly addressing any changes and escalating concerns to management or medical professionals when necessary.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records, updating care plans and documenting any incidents or health changes in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, managing situations calmly and effectively.
  • Offer emotional support to residents, creating a reassuring presence during the night and addressing any concerns or anxieties they may have.
  • Communicate with families and other health professionals as needed to ensure seamless care delivery and keep everyone updated on residents' well-being.
Requirements:
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with a valid UK NMC Pin.
  • Previous experience in a care home setting or working with older adults is desirable.
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature, with a genuine passion for working with older adults.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with night staff and day staff during handovers.
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts, making critical decisions with confidence.
