About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team in Forensic Psychiatry. As a Specialist Doctor, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric care to patients under Consultant supervision within a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patient psychiatric care at regular intervals and update records
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team, including attendance at ward rounds and CPA Reviews
  • Provide day-to-day medical care to patients under your care, collaborating with the Rampton Physical Health Centre as needed
  • Accompany Consultants on assessments of patients referred from prisons or other hospitals
  • Participate in resident on-call duties, including deputising for absent colleagues when required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full registration with the GMC
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in SHO/CT3/Specialty Doctor (or equivalent) roles
  • At least 2 years' experience in Psychiatry

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £70,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The exact salary will be discussed during the recruitment process.
