Job Title: Senior Electronics Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team at Renishaw. As a key member of our electronics group, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge electronic systems for our metrology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electronic designs for new products, working closely with project managers and product managers to define product specifications and deliver designs that meet those specifications.
  • Design and develop VHDL firmware for our electronic systems.
  • Take ownership of the delivery of electronic designs that meet targets for product performance, quality, cost, and timescale, and ensure they are suitable for transfer to production.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, allocating time appropriately to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including software and mechanical design engineers, production, and purchasing teams.

Requirements:

  • Education to at least degree level in electronics or equivalent.
  • Experience in analogue and digital electronics design, including designing for electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Expertise in relevant ECAD schematic capture, PCB layout tools, and circuit simulation tools.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge of VHDL for FPGAs.
  • Familiarity with embedded microprocessors and embedded C.
  • EMC testing experience.
  • Practical electronic circuit prototyping skills.
