About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Merchandising Specialist to join our team at Monsoon Accessorize. As a key member of our Merchandising team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with our buying teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for own product ranges, planning and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with buying teams
  • Liaising with buyers, DC, Channel Merchandising team, stores and suppliers
  • Forecasting profit and sales, optimising sales volume and profitability
  • Updating WSSI and re-forecasting sales for relevant product areas in order to monitor OTB, terminal stock levels and promotions
  • Managing End of Season and Mid Season sale strategy and execution, in line with trading conditions and business objectives
  • Presenting sign offs and Monday Trade to senior management for own departments
  • Controlling stock levels across webs, concessions and store portfolio based on forecasts for the season
  • Analysing bestsellers
  • Monitoring slow sellers and taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary
  • Analysing the previous season's sales and reporting on the current season's lines
  • Train and develop MAA
  • Identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise
  • Supports Merchandiser to ensure company and department information is communicated effectively to team through weekly team meetings

Requirements

  • Proven track record in Merchandising
  • Strong analytical and advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to identify key trends and emerging opportunities in line with customer profile
  • Experience of managing a team and presenting sign offs
  • Confident and articulate communicator, with an ability to build strong cross functional relationships
  • Ability to deliver to tight timescales and work under pressure
