We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Technology Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist to join our team at Alan Mitchell.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support the execution of technology and software mandates, originating new business development leads, and contributing to the origination of active investment banking engagements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and analysing financial information and business plans, providing insightful explanations to stakeholders;
  • Coordinating business due diligence, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery;
  • Developing marketing materials, including management presentations, pitches, and other presentations, showcasing companies' strengths and potential;
  • Evaluating companies' values, considering factors such as financial profile, strategic relevance, technology attractiveness, and end market attractiveness;
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of M&A engagements, effectively managing multiple priorities and shifting demands;
  • Supervising and coaching junior staff members, fostering their growth and development according to team and firm standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A proven track record of M&A transaction experience with mid-market technology companies;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of M&A processes, including deal execution, origination, and negotiation;
  • Financial acumen, enabling you to value technology companies based on their financial profile and strategic relevance;
  • Aptitude for financial analysis, interpretation, and presentation in marketing materials;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders;
  • Proactivity, energy, and enthusiasm, with a strong drive to make things happen both internally and in transaction executions.
What We Offer

As a Strategic Technology Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist, you can expect a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development within our dynamic organisation.
