Cleaner (Apprenticeship) Specialist

Cyngor Caerdydd/Cardiff Council is seeking a skilled Cleaner (Apprenticeship) to provide exceptional cleaning services in schools, educational establishments, and corporate council buildings in the Cardiff area.
SalaryThe hourly pay rate for this position is £10.50/hour, with a generous contributory pension and other benefits included in the package.
Job DescriptionThis role involves providing a clean environment by undertaking a variety of cleaning tasks, such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, hygiene cleaning, emptying bins and mechanical buffing. The successful candidate will work a minimum of 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for 38 weeks of the year, with morning shifts between 6:00am – 8:00am and afternoon shifts between 3:15pm – 6:15pm. Deep cleans will also be undertaken during school holidays, typically in longer shifts over two or three days each week.
Required Skills and QualificationsWe are looking for candidates who are physically fit, have a good customer care attitude, effective communication skills, and able to work as part of a team and under their own initiative. Personal development opportunities, such as NVQ Level 1 Cleaning & Support Services Skills, are available.
BenefitsThe salary will be pro-rata'd and is subject to the Living Wage supplement, which brings pay rates up to £10.50 per hour.
