Job Description
The successful candidate will work as a Mechanical Pipefitter/Welder, supporting various engineering projects across the UK. Key responsibilities include:
- NDT Inspection Preparation: Prepare equipment and vessels for Non-Destructive Testing inspections.
- Mechanical Support: Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance for mechanical issues.
- Maintenance Program Support: Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of maintenance programs.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing spare parts related to pipefitting and welding operations.
- Workplace Safety Compliance: Adhere to safe work systems and protocols.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Safety Reporting: Report any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
- Team Leadership: Offer mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Required Experience and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- Pipefitting/Welding Expertise: A minimum of three years' experience in pipe fitting, welding, or fabrication, with a focus on hygienic stainless steel dairy tube welding.
- TIG Welding Proficiency: Expertise in TIG welding, with the ability to work on thin-wall stainless steel dairy tubes and SS schedule tubing.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting pipework schematics and engineering drawings.
