Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker at a SEMH school setting in Bournemouth.

The successful candidate will provide specialised support to students with complex needs related to Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour, ensuring their individual EHCPs are effectively implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive and engaging curriculum that addresses the specific challenges associated with Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour across various subjects.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment to promote social, emotional, and mental well-being, with a focus on addressing anxiety and behaviour challenges.
  • Provide support to students with diverse needs, particularly those facing mental health challenges.

Requirements:

  • A deep comprehension of the diverse needs associated with Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour.
  • An ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique requirements of individual students.
  • A patient and understanding approach, when facing challenging behaviour.
  • A proactive and open mindset, working in a multidisciplinary team.
