About the Role

This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, data-driven product owner to develop our portfolio of Global Player products.

Global Player allows listeners to enjoy all of Global's radio brands, award-winning podcasts, and expertly curated playlists, in one place in app, on web, on TV, in car and on smart speakers.

  • You'll drive the development of products that are used and loved by millions of people.
  • You'll work across some of the latest technologies like in-car, smart speakers and AI.

Key Responsibilities

The Product Owner will be responsible for the following areas across our digital products:

Strategic

  1. Develop product strategy.
  2. Own the product roadmap for your area of development and communicate priorities based on business requirements.
  3. Conduct gap analysis and competitive reviews where appropriate.

Day-to-Day

  1. An integral part of the Agile process - run refinement and planning sessions, presenting the product goal and a potential sprint goal, attend retrospective meetings and write user stories.
  2. Work hand in hand with developers to ensure requirements are being translated into high-quality, working products.
  3. Provide regular reports and updates to the business to show performance against objectives.
  4. Work closely with commercial teams to ensure that products are monetised effectively and in line with strategic goals.
  5. Work closely with analytics, interpreting data in order to improve products.
  6. Support the wider product team and input in other areas of the digital portfolio.
  7. Experience working in SCRUM/Agile environments.
