Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely updates on changes to deliverables, ensuring sufficient time for adoption.
  • Continuously assess processes for efficiency and relevance.
  • Deliver accurate divisional and group reporting and analysis.
  • Review and approve monthly balance sheet commentary, analyzing trends.
  • Approve monthly risks and opportunities assessments.
  • Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring agreement on necessary adjustments.
  • Manage the preparation of year-end audit packs and coordinate with auditors to meet deliverables.
  • Supply all required information to Group for statutory reporting and review draft statutory accounts.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing necessary information and analysis.

Requirements:

  • Previous people management experience of a minimum of 2 years is essential.
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excel skill at advanced level.
  • Ability to question and challenge the status quo to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility by adapting work in line with changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 an advantage.
