Greenwell Gleeson is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join their team in Norwich. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, month-end procedures, and audit support.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Improve reporting efficiencies and controls to meet tight deadlines.
  2. Develop and maintain robust controls on balance sheet reconciliations.
  3. Conduct month-end balance sheet reviews and variance analysis.
  4. Prepare and review journal postings and key control account reconciliations.
  5. Provide audit support for annual statutory audits and internal audits.
  6. Prepare statutory accounts.
  7. Develop and maintain intercompany and related party transactions controls.
  8. Prepare UK VAT returns and reconciliations.
  9. Support fixed asset reporting and control.
  10. Oversee other statutory reporting requirements.
  11. Lead a team of 3 and provide technical accounting guidance.
Requirements:
  1. ACCA or ICAEW qualified.
  2. Strong knowledge of IFRS, FRS101, and UKGAAP.
  3. UK VAT knowledge.
  4. Fixed asset reporting experience.
  5. Accuracy and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work under pressure.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills.
  8. SAP experience.
  9. US GAAP/SOX experience.
  10. UK Corporation tax knowledge.
  11. Manufacturing sector experience.
  12. Leadership skills.
