About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Dorset HealthCare. As a key member of our community mental health team, you will work closely with individuals, families, and carers to provide high-quality occupational therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to individuals with mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to promote independence, well-being, and recovery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with mental health conditions.
  • Provide education and support to individuals, families, and carers on mental health issues and coping strategies.

Requirements

  • Registered Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration.
  • Postgraduate experience in mental health occupational therapy.
  • Ability to work with adults, children, and families with mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
