The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of individual care and comfort, working closely with other team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.
Key Responsibilities- Provide and maintain a high standard of care and comfort for all service users, in line with their individual care plans.
- Assist service users with daily living activities, including household duties, mobility, dressing, undressing, bathing, toileting, and nutrition.
- Help promote social activity within the home and support service users in participating in chosen activities in their local community.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene at all times, adhering to our home's policy.
- Report any concerns, worries, or ill health of service users to the person in charge of the unit.
- Participate in activities and outings to ensure a sense of well-being and maximise quality of life for service users.
- Respect service users' wishes and involve them in their care, allowing them to make choices and decisions.
- Offer suggestions to improve the service and efficiency of the home.
- Maintain good relationships with relatives and be courteous to all visitors, making them feel welcome in the home.
- Adhere to health, safety, and security standards, reporting any defects or concerns to the manager.
- Maintain good levels of communication between staff and service users.
- Be aware of and adhere to all policies and procedures within the home.
- Previous experience working in a care environment is desirable.
- The right to live and work in the UK is required.
Avondale Care (Scotland) Ltd is a small family-run organisation providing 24-hour residential nursing care for younger adults and elderly individuals in four purpose-built facilities.
