Senior Finance Officer

Service Care Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Officer to join their team in Bradford. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of financial services and maintaining the Council's general ledger and other financial records.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing Working Relationships: Foster strong working relationships with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of financial services.
- Maintaining Financial Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with various financial disciplines to support the work of the Department.
- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain the Council's general ledger and other supporting financial records, including computerised databases.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure that all budgeting and accounting procedures are complied with, including the operation of financial controls.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare, analyse, and interpret financial and other information to inform operational decisions.
- Close Down Processes: Support the close down processes of the authority and prepare service accounts.
- Financial Support: Provide reliable and timely financial information and support to service departments.
- Customer Service: Listen to service customers and promote the department through the provision of quality services to meet customer needs.
- Qualifications: AAT or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience: Three years' practical experience of financial services.
- Skills: Preparation of reports and maintenance of financial systems and procedures.
- Environment: Experience of working in a financial environment in local government.
