About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Inspection Manager to join our team at Workman LLP. As a key member of our Property Management team, you will be responsible for providing a proactive and strategic inspection service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out building inspections on behalf of clients and produce detailed inspection reports, identifying tenant compliance and wants of repair.
  • Build relationships with tenants to better understand their business needs and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and statutory legislation for both tenanted and Workman managed properties.
  • Work alongside Property and Building Managers to follow up on inspection findings.

General Responsibilities:

  • Inspect all single let properties and tenanted areas of multi-let properties to identify tenant compliance with lease, repair, health and safety, and other lease requirements.
  • Inspect common parts of multi-let properties to identify wants of repair and compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Manage your own diary and be responsible for the completion of all property inspections within predetermined timescales.
  • Plan and organize inspections into geographically efficient areas, ensuring the most effective and economical process.
  • Make contact with tenants to arrange a suitable time and date for inspection, ensuring the required notice is given prior to an inspection taking place.
  • Prepare inspection reports, detailing findings to the company standard, and upload these into the appropriate inspection database or health and safety database systems within set deadlines.
  • Manage and update central inspection schedules with inspection dates, contact details, and changes of tenants, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for all inspections.
  • Liaise with Property and Building Managers regarding inspection findings and agree follow-up actions, and write to tenants with details of required actions.
  • Inform Property and Building Managers of any serious or immediate repairs/defects to the properties inspected immediately and update them of any changes in tenant.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable).
  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate (desirable).

Key Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience of the property industry.
  • Knowledge of property construction and the ability to identify repair.
  • Strong IT skills, especially Excel.
