Procurement Transformation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Transformation Specialist to join our Technology team at OVO Energy. This role is a key part of our journey to become a leading function in the Procurement industry. As a Procurement Transformation Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the development of appropriate category strategies, de-risking our market exposure, and driving maximum potential value.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the sourcing strategy and plan across Technology, delivering outstanding stakeholder management to Senior Managers and Heads of Department.
  • Adopt a Category Management approach, supporting the development of category strategies to drive maximum potential value.
  • Use data to build and keep updated a clear view of category spend and suppliers.
  • Support category savings opportunity analysis and future pipeline initiatives.
  • Deliver savings that contribute towards the OVO procurement team objectives and impact OVO's EBITDA.
  • Complete regular RFx exercises, leading by example and guiding the business through the process via strong project management practices.
  • Collaborate with the Supplier Management team to implement effective supplier management strategies.
  • Ensure relevant OVO team members are aligned with the procurement policy and process monitoring and reporting on compliance.
  • Continuously aspire for improvements in commercial value, process efficiency, and risk mitigation.

Requirements
  • Able to sell and promote the benefits of Procurement to Technology team members and peers.
  • An inquisitive self-starter who is able to hold themselves accountable for their own output.
  • Validated experience in a similar procurement role with validated understanding of technology operations in an enterprise business.
  • A successful negotiator with a consistent track record of delivering material commercial benefits.
  • A customer service-obsessed, business-partnering approach.
  • Outstanding Procurement Management, setting a benchmark at your level and an aspiration for junior members of the team.
  • Analytical, able to effectively source and manipulate data, turning it into meaningful outputs.
  • Comprehensive sourcing experience across key Technology subcategories.
  • Confident proposing, initiating, and implementing change in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Strong storytelling, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Good knowledge of Procurement e-sourcing tools.
