Sheet Metal Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sheet Metal Operative. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for fabricating sheet metal components and other items to a high standard in mild steel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture fabricated sheet metal components and other items to a high standard in mild steel.
  • Operate punching, bending, and welding equipment to produce high-quality metal components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings in both 3rd and 1st angle projection.
  • Manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth production processes.

Requirements:

  • Excellent eye for detail and quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic Maths and English skills.
  • Electronic/electrical or mechanical/City & Guilds qualification advantageous.
