As a Civil Engineer at Thomas Thor, you will be part of a global leader in designing safe and secure sources of clean energy. Our company has received funding from the FNEF to advance its Small Modular Reactor (SMR) programme, and we are building a new team based in Bristol.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce and review civil engineering assessments
  • Support the development of the civil sections of the Safety Case for submission to the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR)
  • Conduct static and dynamic analyses of large reinforced concrete structures
  • Civil Engineering assessments of plant structures
  • Coach and mentor team members to develop their technical and personal skills
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external organizations


Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in an engineering or science related discipline
  • Excellent credentials in principles of civil engineering
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
