Forfeiture Lawyer

Service Care Legal is partnering with the Civil Service Unit to find a talented Civil Litigation/Criminal Solicitor for a contract position in Scotland. The successful candidate will support the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service with handling a significant caseload and attending Court as required.

• You will conduct investigations and analysis for forfeiture applications
• You will manage frozen funds investigations and provide guidance to financial investigators
• You will develop systems to aid in civil recovery investigations
• You will build and strengthen relationships with law enforcement and legal counterparts
• You will provide expert advice on the seizure and forfeiture of cash and listed assets
• You will communicate effectively with Law Officers on relevant legal issues

• A strong understanding of criminal law and Proceeds of Crime legislation in Scotland
• Experience in civil litigation work is advantageous
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Interpersonal skills to build effective and collaborative relationships
• Exceptional organisational skills to manage a busy workload effectively

The salary for this role is £57,701 per annum, which includes a day rate of £297.
