We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Therapist to join our Urgent and Inpatient Care Psychology Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to patients in our Acute Adult Inpatient wards in Exeter.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the leadership and organisation of Adult Urgent and Inpatient Care services, ensuring a high-quality psychological service is provided to patients.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to less experienced staff, trainees, and volunteers.
- Develop and implement specialist psychological formulations and assessments of clients, formulating plans for their psychological treatment and implementing specialist psychological interventions.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of health and social care staff in hospital and community settings, providing complex and sensitive information concerning the assessment, formulation, and treatment plans of clients.
- Qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (D.Psychol. or equivalent) and eligible for Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Status in the British Psychological Society.
- Psychological Therapists need to be trained to masters level or equivalent in a specific psychological therapy and registered with an appropriate recognised professional body.
- Experience of working in Adult Mental Health services and work with people with severe and complex mental health difficulties.
- Experience of working in Community and In-patient settings for adults with complex mental health needs.
