About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our Safeguarding and Support Neighbourhood teams in Tameside. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of social workers and providing assessment, planning, and intervention services to children in need of a statutory assessment at the threshold of Child in Need and Child Protection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of social workers and provide high-level support and challenge to ensure the best possible outcomes for Tameside children.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the lives of children and families in need.
  • Collaborate with external partner agencies to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to safeguarding and support.
  • Manage and develop a team of social workers, providing supervision, training, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of children and families.
