About the Role

We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our Fundraising team as a Community Fundraising Ambassador. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a real difference in their community and help us support people affected by dementia.

As a Community Fundraising Ambassador, you'll work closely with our Fundraising teams to raise awareness and funds in your local community. You'll identify new supporters, build brand awareness, and inspire people to get involved with Alzheimer's Society.

By taking on this role, you'll be part of a passionate team that's committed to providing Help and Hope to those affected by dementia. We're looking for someone who's passionate about making a difference and has the skills to engage with our supporters in a variety of ways, including events, presentations, and community collections.

In Essex alone, there are around 10,000 people living with dementia, and thousands more caregivers who need our support. As a Community Fundraising Ambassador, you'll play a vital role in connecting with the community, raising vital funds, and increasing awareness of our cause.

We ask for a minimum commitment of two hours per month, but we know that the impact you'll have will be much greater.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with our Fundraising teams to raise awareness and funds in your local community
  • Identify new supporters and build brand awareness
  • Engage with our supporters in a variety of ways, including events, presentations, and community collections
  • Help raise vital funds to support people affected by dementia

What You'll Need:

  • A passion for making a difference in your community
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A minimum commitment of two hours per month
