About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients in the community, working closely with the Older Adult team and other multidisciplinary teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake assessments of referrals and admissions to the service.
- Diagnose and formulate management plans for complex presentations.
- Provide management and treatment for patients with treatment-resistant and complex conditions.
- Assess and manage risk, including vulnerability, suicide risk, and risks to health and safety.
- Prepare reports and attend hearings for Mental Health Review Tribunals and Managers' Hearings.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Lead clinical decision-making and develop service clinical priorities.

Requirements
- Medical degree and Specialist Register membership.
- GMC registration and MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
- Approved Clinician status.
