About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Driver Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for HGV drivers, focusing on safe and efficient driving practices. This includes conducting assessments, providing constructive feedback, and staying up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective training programs for HGV drivers.
  • Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to drivers.
  • Maintain expertise in container and general haulage.
  • Collaborate with management to identify training needs and support the on-boarding of new drivers.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • A proven track record as a Driver Trainer with expertise in container and general haulage.
  • Certification as an approved driving instructor or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices in the HGV driving industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to adapt training techniques to meet the needs of diverse drivers.

Salary:

The salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
