Job Title: Obsolescence Management Specialist

About the Role:
The Leonardo SpA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Obsolescence Management Specialist to join our team. As an Obsolescence Management Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out activities related to customer notification, obsolescence activity reviews, and information management utilizing company processes and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct BoM reviews and obsolescence monitoring activities using company tools.
• Develop Selected Component Lists and agree on sign-off with Design Authority (DA).
• Generate Obsolescence Management Plans (OMP) to ensure effective component lifecycle management.
• Liaise with external suppliers to obtain up-to-date obsolescence status.
• Provide support to the Obsolescence Lead to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Develop key relationships with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to obtain 'buy-in' and cooperation in achieving objectives and fulfilling responsibilities.
• Review the obsolescence process effectiveness with the line manager and take an active role in improvement activities and procedure documents to enhance and develop the process.
• Undertake regular Obsolescence Review Boards with IPT to ensure effective closure of open actions.

Requirements:
• Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Familiarity with design and manufacturing processes.
• Awareness of obsolescence management processes and electronic component datasheets and specifications.
• Ability to manage own work on a day-to-day basis under supervision.
• Willingness to take responsibility for tasks and ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers/suppliers.

Benefits:
This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary range of £45,000-£60,000 per annum, dependent on experience. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for a balance between office and home-based work.
