About the Role:
- Grounds Maintenance: As a Groundskeeper at Parkville Hotel, you will be responsible for ensuring all outdoor areas, including gardens, lawns, patios, and pathways, are well-maintained, safe, and tidy at all times.
- Safety Compliance: You will regularly inspect outdoor spaces for any hazards and report potential safety concerns, taking corrective actions when necessary and liaising with the Maintenance team.
- Environmental Care: You will assist in sustainable landscaping practices, including water conservation, waste management, and the use of environmentally friendly products.
- Seasonal Work: You will carry out seasonal tasks such as leaf clearing, snow removal, and planting to keep the grounds in good condition throughout the year.
- Equipment Maintenance: You will maintain and service groundskeeping equipment, ensuring tools and machinery are in good working order.
- Garden Management: You will collaborate with the external gardening company to support the maintenance of shrubs, hedges, and flower beds, including regular watering of plants.
- Waste Management: You will regularly empty outdoor bins and clear litter to ensure cleanliness.
- Team Collaboration: You will work alongside other staff and management to support the smooth operation of the venue, offering assistance where needed.
- Customer Interaction: You will provide courteous and helpful service to guests when approached, offering information or assistance related to the grounds when necessary.
- Weather Readiness: You will monitor weather conditions and take proactive measures to prepare the grounds, ensuring they remain safe and accessible during adverse conditions.
Requirements:
- Eye for Detail: You must have an eye for detail and high and exacting standards.
- Ability to Work Unsupervised: You must be able to work unsupervised and take initiative when necessary.
