About the Role

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join its team as a Portfolio Manager Analyst. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute operational processes across a range of activities in equivalent middle and back office support functions, ensuring the adequate documenting, booking, funding, and monitoring/reconciliation of the Bank's products.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding operational performance by adhering to established operational metrics – timeliness, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with relevant departments to ensure that decision-makers are aware of the risks involved with specific projects/transactions.
  • Provide support and training to Assistant Analysts in the team in the delivery of their portfolio-related tasks.
  • Where necessary, provide additional capacity across OSM to ensure expected service levels are maintained, including unanticipated deadlines defined by Banking clients.

Operational Standards, Risk, Control & Governance

  • Be part of a culture where team members are responsible for the quality of their output, ensuring adherence to established quality/assurance targets.
  • Help support the broader improvement of OSM's control environment.
  • Ensure that new processes and practices are conducted in line with quality standards, applicable policies, and relevant legislation.

Requirements

  • University-educated or equivalent work experience.
  • Comprehensive banking, legal, or credit skills, as well as a good understanding of treasury and banking products transacted by EBRD.
  • Appreciation of the impact that the function has with other key departments in the servicing of Banking and Treasury transactions.
  • Experience with Summit, Frameworks, Debt Domain, SAP, or Swift systems considered advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English required. Knowledge of another language would also be considered beneficial.
  • Sufficient credibility to advise peers across the organisation, helping mitigate banking/operational risks.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • 2-3 years' experience of working with Investment Banking and Credit products, including Loans, Equities, Guarantees, Grants, and Bonds, both Bilateral and Co-Financed, with the ability to represent EBRD across other lenders, co-investors, and clients.
  • Experience with leading the waiver, amendment, and covenant monitoring processes across Corporate and Banking-related products, as well as proven skills in drafting, reviewing, and interpreting both bilateral and co-financed Banking legal documentation.
  • Understanding of the principles/requirements associated with a Bank's funding requirement.
  • Understanding of applicable risk mitigation tools across Banking and Credit products.
